An important aspect of Antonella Scarpitta’s development was meeting Munari at the Polytechnic Institute in Milano with whom she studied the principals of simplicity and the role of design, searching to simplify and enhance every day life and to make people's life happier. "Due to his influence, I want my designs to be fundamentally functional, objects of simple and functional shape, which are expressing a strong formal purity," says Scarpitta. Using her experience and expertise, she is very able to benefit the companies she is cooperating with. She helps them develop new modes of employing existing technologies for the benefit of new products. Therefore, she screens the entire production process. As part of her work, she guarantees the visible quality of the end product, controls all details from searching the right material to inventing effective ways of distribution. By reviewing the company as a whole, she restructures its communication strategy as well as its appearance.
