"FESTA DEL LEGNO" DI RIVA1920

Sabato 24 Settembre, RIVA 1920, ha aperto le porte al pubblico, un’opportunità che tutto il giovane Staff dello Studio Antonella Scarpitta Designer A 360° ha colto con grande entusiasmo. Un’ occasione per conoscere una realtà aziendale e produttiva unica nel suo genere, dove la lavorazione del legno assume un duplice significato “artistico ed emozionale”, un incontro tra creatività , manualità, tradizione e innovazione.
L’esclusività dell’evento “FESTA DEL LEGNO” è apparsa fin dall’esterno, la struttura, dove ospita lo Showroom e il museo del legno, è tutta interamente ricoperta di legno di larice siberiano. Nel piazzale adiacente all’accesso dello Showroom, già le prime meraviglie, una scultura di Davide Riva, realizzata con tavola di tronco al naturale con incisioni geometrici multi colore “ appare maestosa”; un gioco di blocco di legno sezionato, fissati  tra loro, diviene un oggetto scultoreo dove sono ben visibili le spaccature , i nodi e le imperfezioni del legno. Un tavolo decisamente scenografico, caratterizzato da imprevisti colpi di scena, la base in acciaio armonico è caratterizzata da modifiche improvvise di forma come in natura lo è la tavola di legno massello del piano.
Ci accingiamo ad entrare nello Showroom, dove altre meraviglie ci attendono.
Lo Showroom è un contesto espositivo di grande empatia, dove si possono ammirare numerosi oggetti  in legno massello, che esaltano l’essenza ,” oggetti tra scultura e design”
Parte della collezione, sono pezzi realizzati  con legni di riuso  come le Briccole di Venezia, il millenario Kauri e il cedro; prodotti di un design esclusivo e raffinato, nella qualità di esecuzione artigianale che li contraddistingue, dove il grande protagonista è il legno, con le sue venature, la sua storia e il suo profumo  che suscita molte emozioni.
Una passione per il legno, quella di RIVA 1920, che da anni produce pezzi unici, nei quali la componente manuale diventa imprescindibile e risulta subito evidente.
Il legno, a differenza di altri materiali, si muove, si dilata, si contorce, prima durante e dopo la sua lavorazione. Questo suo carattere inquieto è sempre stato considerato un limite; RIVA 1920 ha pensato invece di farlo diventare suo alleato; così imperfezioni, crepe, spaccature, nodi, tarli, ossidazioni, non vengono eliminati ma, diventano tratti distintivi e valori aggiunti. Il legno è sempre stato presente nella vita dell’uomo, quando l’uomo è comparso sulla Terra la vegetazione aveva già fatto passi da gigante nella catena evolutiva e questo Maurizio e Davide Riva lo sanno bene.
I RIVA, hanno un’altra grande virtù “l’arte dell’ospitalità”, che sta nell’offrire qualcosa di speciale ai propri ospiti, facendoli sentire come a casa. Come ospiti non soltanto aprono le porte di casa loro, ma anche il loro cuore. Noi dello Studio Antonella Scarpitta , ringraziamo la ditta RIVA 1920 per averci regalato dei momenti indimenticabili di grande emozionalità , conserviamo il prezioso omaggio “la trottola” realizzata con il legno di Kauri di Michele De Lucchi, come il più prezioso gioiello.
